This Chemical Guide is provided as a general indication of the compatibility of various chemicals and fluids with the Zeus UHMWP Chemical Hose. This guide is based on technical information obtained from various sources, including manufacturers, suppliers and trade associations and is believed to be reliable. This chemical resistance guide is offered by Ragco, Inc. to assist users in their search for the proper hose for a given application. While the information is presented in good faith, no guarantee, expressed or implied, can be given as to the accuracy of these ratings.

The degree of UHMWP resistance to deterioration by a specific chemical is dependent on such factors as the nature, concentration, and temperature of the chemical; the frequency and duration of exposure; mechanical action; and even the ratio of contact surface area to volume. Therefore, the ratings in this guide should be used only as a general guide, and not as specific recommendations. The true serviceability of an elastomer is best measured under the precise conditions of each specific application. When in doubt, a test for compatibility with the particular chemical should be made before deeming the hose acceptable for the service.

The rating code used in this guide is as follows: Unless otherwise specified, the ratings are for concentrated or saturated solutions at 70ºF.

G - Good Resistance
Usually suitable for service.
F - Fair resistance
The chemical has some deteriorative effects, but the elastomer is still adequate for moderate service.
C - Depends on Condition
Moderate service may be possible if chemical exposure is limited or infrequent.
X - Not Recommended
Unsuitable for service.
I - Insufficient information
